Kickoff Hy3+!
What will the hydrogen infrastructure in Northwestern Europe look like in 2030 and 2035? What challenges are expected? What mitigation measures can be taken?
TNO and Arcadis are conducting a research program as a continuation of Hy3, which previously mapped the hydrogen infrastructure. The follow-up, aptly named Hy3+, goes several steps further.
The kickoff meeting with participating industry partners, knowledge partners, and (semi-)government bodies was held on January 29 and laid the foundation for the scope and scale of the program, which will be completed by the end of 2024.
In a North-Western European context, the dynamics of hydrogen networks, which are currently in full development, are being mapped. The industrial use of sustainable hydrogen, as well as its production, import, and storage, are being dynamically mapped.
Based on this, port authorities, tank storage companies, hydrogen producers, and hydrogen consumers can consolidate their plans in the coming years, during which hydrogen networks will be constructed and industries will adapt accordingly.
Next milestone: Steering committee meeting on February 29. See you then!
